1965 Sindy (Weekender)

Here is the Sindy doll from the 1965 catalogue.

The first edition of Sindy Weekender was made in England between 1963-65 and had soft vinyl arms and hard hollow legs and torso. She had three different hair colours: blonde, auburn and brunette.

The second edition, also made in England, from 1965 had vinyl legs and arms that was able to bend and hold the position thanks to a wire inside them. The outfit and the hair colours was the same as before.

The Hong Kong Mini Sindy.

In 1965 there was also a Sindy made in Hong Kong (which was marked on the back of her waist). She’s called Mini Sindy since she was shorter and had a smaller head (tends to wobble), smaller very hard arms and legs with tiny feet (from which her shoes fall off).
