1975 Sindy: Active (Ballerina), 44654.

In 1975 the Active Sindy got new jointed ankles so she can now stand on tiptoe! Her complete ballet outfit consists of a white leotard, fishnet tights and a removable lilac skirt. Without it, she can be a gymnast or a dancer in rehearsals. She also has a pair of moulded white rubber/plastic ballet shoes with silk cord to tie around her ankles.
Even though it almost look as if the skirt is pink, on the picture in the catalogue, Sindy had a lilac skirt between 1974 and 1976.

Just like in 1974 she has a double twist waist, a double neck joint, riveted shoulder joints, ball joints at the wrists (it’s hard to find a played-with ballerina, between 1974 and 1978, with both her hands still on the ball joint, since the plastic brakes really easy at the joints and the hands drops off) and bending elbows and knees but no bending ankles.
Her head is a very hard head with rich face colours and long eyelashes. Sindy has brunette, blond or auburn hair, in the typical Sindy styled pony tail, with a lilac ribbon, matching her skirt.

This Sindy doll is here at The Little Sindy Museum. She was purchased as an ‘used’ Sindy Active doll. TLSM is not 100% certain the head or body haven’t been switched but, as far as we can tell, it should be the correct doll on the photos below.
