Below are photos of two Basic Sindy bodies.
One from 1976, with very hard, (and not easy to bend) kind of blueish arms/hands. The fingers are slimmer and there’s almost like the doll has markings of a “rubber band” that have been removed from its wrists, just a second ago. The neck ball is relatively small. There’s a Hong Kong marking (a bit hard to read) just below her waist line.
A lot of these bodies were still sold in 1978, in new outfits, as Funtime Sindy and Weekender Sindy. Pedigree were very good at using up all left over parts!

In the new Basic Sindy body from 1977 the arms/hands are made of a softer, (easy to bend) kind of a bit see through material. The fingers are more “bubbly” and there’s no line markings on the wrists. The neck ball is larger and has a “S”on the backside. The hard plastic body parts are in a slightly warmer colour and the Hong Kong marking, just below her waist line, is easier to read than the year before.

Here you can compare the bodies side by side.
