1978 Sindy: Weekender, 44683.

This Sindy doll is here at The Little Sindy Museum. She was purchased as an ‘used’ Weekender Sindy. TLSM is not 100% certain the head or body haven’t been switched but as far as we know it should be the correct doll on the photos further below.
Both the left and the middle doll, below, are photos of boxed Weekender Sindy dolls. As you can see the left one are more colourful and truly have the 1978 look. The doll TLSM has doesn’t have the rich make up, and looks more like the later Sindys that came in 1979. But apparently they were sold without the colourful make up as well, as the boxed Weekender Sindy in the middle below show. And the dolls in 1979 had a new upraised marking in the neck: “2 GEN 1077” and under, with imprinted numbers: “033055X,” which TLSM’s doll doesn’t have, as the photos further down shows.
