Sindy Cabin Crew Dolls: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
A Cabin Crew Sindy doll is said to have been produced and sold exclusively on board international KLM flights.
TLSM hasn’t been able to find any pictures of one in the box, though. If you know more, or have a boxed KLM cabin crew Sindy, please get in touch!
In Mam’selle Sindy Doll Magazine issue 11, July 2022, we can read that:
“The KLM – the Royal Dutch Airlines – Sindy doll was available from 1980-1982 Dressed in an authentic and detailed replica uniform worn by the KLM stewardesses between 1975 and 1981. This doll was sold on board international KLM flights only.
At the same time the Otto Simon Company sold a Fleur doll wearing the same uniform.”
When searching for information about this particular Cabin Crew Uniform I came across Confessions of a Trolley Dolly and there it says:
“This was the first time a designer’s name was attached to the uniform. The designer was Wim van Hoek.”
Below you can see pictures, from the same site, of the uniform that Sindy’s and Fleur’s uniforms were replicas off.

Thank you so much for sharing your information and pictures, Confessions of a Trolley Dolly!
Below you can see TLSM’s played with doll bought as a KLM Sindy doll. But since there’s no photos to be found, of an original Sindy still in it’s box, there’s no way be sure this is the correct Sindy doll! TLSM’s outfit misses the scarf and the shoes is probably not the correct ones!

Below are some print screen shots of a YouTube video showing the original uniform that the KLM Cabin Crew Sindy and Fleur doll’s had replicas of. You’ll find the original video further down. Make sure to watch that one too!
