These lovely 12S Magazines were donated to TLSM all the way from Singapore by the very talented Kat who’s got the Instagram account @anya_sasha!

I had no idea these magazines existed but my research shows that the first issue were made in 2001 by Hilary & Thom Sewell, two Sindy collectors in England. In the magazines you can find this contact info ->
Apparently they did 9 issues of 12S and they often asked the close knit community if anyone would contribute to the magazines.
Back then, the collectors couldn’t communicate easily with each other, unless buying magazines, attending fairs or conventions, or visiting some local doll clubs. Internet with early yahoo groups made it easier and when Facebook became popular it was such a smooth way to connect and collaborate together. And then Instagram came and opened up a whole wide world!

Every 12S magazine had a sewn on stitch to hold it together and each issue had a different colour. Below are all the nine issues (photos found on internet).
