Happenings/Events: S-O-S Margate, 20260314.
This event was hosted by Wanda Rogers and Dawn Farbrace and held in Margate, England.

For TLSM this event is very special since it was the first guided tour ever, via video link, held from Sweden for participants in another area!

Wanda has written all about their day in her blog: Little Miss Dressy. Click here to read the complete article! Below are a shorted version of Wanda’s text with her photos:
We kicked off the day with a wonderful virtual tour of The Little Sindy Museum. Martina Söderström spent nearly an hour showing us her incredible collection and answering all our questions. It was a lovely trip down memory lane for everyone involved. Martina recorded the tour – here’s the link to it on The Little Sindy Museum YouTube channel.

After the tour we handed out two gift packs- Our SOS gift pack and the Mam’selle magazine gift pack.
Next was lunch and our guest house hosts Tracy & Colin provided a fantastic spread of salad, sandwiches and cake. It was the perfect follow-up to our morning.

The post-lunch craft session provided a fun challenge for our guests: SOS Mission Possible! Special Agent Gayle was going undercover to a high-society party and Agent Sindy had to craft her perfect disguise.

There was a prize for the winner and guest house host Tracy served as judge. It was a hard task that we ended up with three winners.

Next up was Sindy Bingo, because a vintage seaside meetup just isn’t complete without a classic party game.
The final hour was all about winding down and sharing our Sindy passion. Between guests selling and showing their finds, we had a blast photographing the dolls in our diorama.

Naturally all the Sindys came dressed in their finest beach wear.

For TLSM it started in October 2025 when I was contacted by Dawn who asked if it was possible to get a tour of the museum via video link. I was delighted and we decided to give it a try, closer to the event date, to see if it would be possible.
We discussed a lot of different ways, like face time or YouTube live but in the end we decided that video chat on Messenger would be the best for us. That way I could see and hear the participants and if they got questions during the tour they could just ask them straight away. Dawn and I did a test in January 17th and it worked out great. A couple of weeks later we did another try and this time Wanda was with us as well.
Below you can see a very crappy screen recording on my phone, during the guided TLSM tour at the S-O-S Margate event.
Thank you Wanda and Dawn for letting TLSM be part of your amazing day!
