Matthew Hadley says: “A charming Sailor Dress and beret – Edwardiana meets ‘80’s! Cotton stripe drop waisted dress with long sleeves, blue cuffs, White sailor collar with blue bow and neck panel. The slightly oversized beret was in blue with a white hat band and soft fluffy bobble. On her feet Sindy wore blue shoes. There was a big trend for Edwardian/Victorian style at the time ( thanks to the New Romantics!) – and Princess Diana also wore many outfits with a nod to nautical. Many children had dresses like this one too, so Sindy certainly hit the trend with this outfit! Considering this outfit sold for around £2.25 the detail has to be applauded.“
