Sindy made under license: Sindy Cabin Crew Dolls.

As far as TLSM knows, there’s been some different Sindy Cabin Crew Dolls made during the years under license by Pedigree Dolls & Toys, with various airline and uniform variations. These includes Martinair, (KLM), Air 2000, Virgin Atlantic, Excel Airways, My Travel, British Airways and Monarch Airlines.

Click on the Headlines below to see more about each doll.

  • Martinair Sindy: Produced under license by Otto Simon in the Netherlands, these dolls had several variations between the 1970s and 1980s, wearing different versions of the Martinair uniform.
    • 1973-1977 Uniform: Features a grey dress and a red collarless blazer.
    • 1977-1982 Uniform (two versions): A representation of the updated uniform featuring a blazer and dress.
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines A Cabin Crew Sindy doll is said to have been produced and sold exclusively on board international KLM flights between 1980 and 1982. (But TLSM hasn’t been able to find any pictures of them in their boxes. If you know more, or have a boxed KLM cabin crew Sindy, please get in touch!)
  • Virgin Atlantic: A doll was released in 2001/2002 by Vivid Imaginations in a replica of the iconic red Virgin Atlantic uniform. It came with a bikini accessory.
  • British Airways: In 2003/2004 Vivid Imaginations released a Sindy wearing the British Airways cabin crew uniform (with the boater-style hat) designed by Paul Costelloe.
  • Air 2000: In 2003/2004 Vivid Imaginations also produced an Air 2000 cabin crew doll in. (Air 2000 was a major British charter airline that operated from 1987 to 2004 and unlike modern low-cost carriers, Air 2000 was known for high-quality service, offering free hot meals and drinks on all flights.)
  • Excel Airways (started 2000) & My Travel (started 2002): New Moons 6.5” Sindy dolls were available with Excel Airways and My Travel air hostess uniforms. Both companies ceased operations in 2008. TLSM does not own any of these two dolls. If you do and want to donate, sell or share photos of it, please get in touch!
